Using HSP Test

These terms apply when you visit hsptest.net, take the HSP test, or use the site's guides, result explanations, and methodology. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and to understand the limits described below. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the site.

You can take the complete test without an account, email address, or payment. The current product is intended for personal self-reflection and general education about sensory-processing sensitivity.

Informational purpose

HSP Test and its articles are intended for informational purposes only. The quiz is not a diagnostic tool and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. For a reliable diagnosis or individualized support, consult a qualified professional.

A result describes the answers provided to this site's original 20-question questionnaire. It does not establish that a person is or is not a highly sensitive person as a medical fact, and it cannot confirm or rule out anxiety, trauma, autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, migraine, or another health concern.

No professional relationship

Using this site does not create a clinician-client, therapist-client, or other professional relationship with HSP Test.

Do not delay or replace professional care because of information on this site. If sensory or emotional experiences are sudden, severe, persistently distressing, or interfere with daily life, seek guidance from an appropriately qualified professional.

Independent questionnaire and content

HSP Test uses independently written questions and educational content informed by public research on sensory-processing sensitivity. We are not affiliated with Psychology Today or the authors and owners of third-party tests and scales referenced on this site.

The questionnaire is not the official Highly Sensitive Person Scale and is not presented as a clinically validated substitute. Score ranges are descriptive bands used by this site. The methodology page explains the formula, dimensions, reverse-scored items, sources, and limitations so that the result can be interpreted in context.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial reflection. You may not reproduce the complete test or site content, interfere with site operation, or misrepresent your relationship with HSP Test.

You must not use automated requests to disrupt the service, attempt unauthorized access, remove attribution from copied excerpts, present a result as a clinical diagnosis, or use the questionnaire to make medical, employment, education, or eligibility decisions about another person.

Content ownership and permitted sharing

The site's original questions, explanations, page design, and written content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may link to public pages and share short, attributed excerpts for commentary or personal discussion where the law permits. These terms do not grant permission to republish the complete test, create a competing copy, or sell the site's content.

Third-party sources and links

Research citations and external links are provided for context. HSP Test does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, terms, or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement, partnership, or authorization unless the page expressly says otherwise.

Availability and changes to the service

We may correct content, revise questions, update score explanations, or change site features as the project develops. We aim to keep the published methodology and visible update dates aligned with substantive changes. We do not promise that every page or feature will always be available without interruption.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the site or clarify how they apply. The current update date appears at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to that later use.
