Why this site exists
HSP Test was created to give English-speaking readers a clear, private way to explore sensory-processing sensitivity. The core experience is a free 20-question self-reflection test with an immediate result, three dimension scores, and no account or email requirement.
The surrounding guides explain the language behind the result: what HSP means, how researchers discuss sensory-processing sensitivity, which everyday traits people may notice, and why similar experiences can have more than one explanation.
The site is deliberately narrow. It does not provide diagnosis, therapy, medical advice, paid reports, community profiles, or a growing catalog of unrelated personality quizzes.
Who writes and publishes the content
Hezeying writes and edits the site's substantive content as Founder and editor of HSP Test. The HSP Test Organization reviews and publishes each page, remaining accountable for its sourcing, corrections, privacy commitments, and scoring documentation.
HSP Test does not claim clinical credentials or third-party endorsement. When a page discusses published research, it names and links the relevant source. When it offers practical suggestions, those suggestions are framed as small observations or experiments rather than treatment instructions.
The current site does not accept guest posts or sponsored medical claims. If those policies change, the relationship and editorial control will be disclosed on the affected page.
How sources are selected
Research-adjacent claims should trace to primary papers, peer-reviewed reviews, or other authoritative sources that directly address the construct being discussed. A source is not added simply because it uses the word HSP or supports a convenient conclusion.
The editorial review asks whether the source actually supports the sentence, whether a finding is being generalized beyond its population or method, and whether uncertainty has been preserved. Popular explanations may help identify reader questions, but they do not replace the research source for a scientific claim.
Health-adjacent comparisons are written cautiously. Similar experiences across sensitivity, anxiety, autism, ADHD, stress, trauma, or physical health do not make those explanations equivalent. The site does not use an HSP result to confirm or rule out a condition.
How the test is maintained
The methodology page documents the current question count, response scale, dimension allocation, reverse scoring, standardization formula, descriptive ranges, privacy behavior, and limitations. This creates a public reference for any future change.
Question wording and score logic are reviewed separately. A copy edit should not silently change the construct an item measures, and a code change should not alter thresholds without a corresponding methodology update. The same complete answer set must always produce the same result under the published version.
The test uses original statements. It is informed by the broad SPS research concept but is not the official Highly Sensitive Person Scale, a copy of a third-party quiz, or a clinical instrument.
Updates, corrections, and transparency
Substantive pages display an update date. A page should be revised when a source no longer supports its wording, the explanation overstates certainty, a factual error is found, or the test method changes. Minor formatting edits do not need to be presented as scientific updates.
Correction requests can be sent to hello@hsptest.net. A useful request identifies the page, the specific statement, and the evidence that should be reviewed. The site may correct, qualify, source, or remove the passage after checking it.
HSP Test aims to distinguish published evidence, site-specific scoring decisions, and practical editorial guidance. Where evidence is limited or interpretations differ, the page should say so instead of manufacturing certainty.
Privacy and business model
The test does not require identity information. Answers and results are calculated in the browser and are not written to a database, URL, or localStorage. The full privacy page explains the limited analytics used for general site measurement.
There is no paid result, advertising network, or email gate in the phase-one product. The site therefore has no reason to make the result more alarming in order to sell an interpretation.
If the business model or data practices change, the privacy policy, relevant interface, and this page must be updated before the new behavior is introduced.
Questions readers often ask
Is HSP Test run by a clinician?
Hezeying, Founder and editor of HSP Test, writes and edits the content. No clinical credential is claimed. HSP Test reviews and publishes the material for education and self-reflection, not diagnosis or treatment.
Is HSP Test affiliated with the official HSP Scale?
No. The questionnaire uses original statements informed by the broader SPS research concept and is not the official Highly Sensitive Person Scale or a third-party test copy.
How can I report a correction?
Email hello@hsptest.net with the page URL, the statement that needs review, and a reliable source or explanation. Substantive corrections are reflected in the page content and update date.
